A Word on My Photography Style
As a wedding photographer who covers Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield and, frankly, all over the UK I've had the pleasure of working at some fantastic wedding venues with some amazing couples! My style combines elements of reportage or photo-journalism, fine art and fashion photography.
Many of my shots are reportage style - as in I tell the story of your wedding day through my photography, from the early morning bridal preparations, right the way through the wedding ceremony, the wedding reception and the first dance. These candid shots are often taken with a long lens, meaning that your guests are often not even aware that we're photographing them. I love reportage style wedding photography because it can capture all sorts of spontaneous, genuine moments - and the emotions that accompany those moments.
When it comes to the bride and groom portraits however, I need to mix things up a little bit in order to create the photographs that you'll treasure forever. This is where some more posing on your part comes in. However, I still like to keep things relaxed, spontaneous and natural - so I don't spend hours setting up one shot and ask you to stand in an awkward position for ages! What I do try to do is to make the most of the beautiful locations that your choice of wedding venue will no doubt offer, and create some dramatic, romantic and downright beautiful photographs! The kind of photographs that you are going to want to hang on your wall and show off to the whole wide world!
So, if you like the style of my photography and think it might be right for your wedding, please let me know! I would absolutely love to hear all about your exciting wedding plans!
